The impressive Bürserschlucht is located in the region of Bludenz, Vorarlberg. Over thousands of years, the Alvier River formed this natural beauty.

The Bürserschlucht is a natural jewel in the Alps, created by the retreat of the glaciers at the end of the last ice age. The river Alvier makes its way through the spectacular gorge. Deep pools and small waterfalls characterize the river scene. The wooded area, which was formed over a period of more than 10,000 years, is home to rare animals and plants. The rock form typical for this gorge is called "Bürser Conglomerate". A varied hiking trail leads along the river through the gorge. The path also crosses the Alvier several times on narrow bridges and offers exceptional views. The walking time is about two hours and is also well suited for families. So close to the elements, visitors discover the true beauty of this pristine nature.

Together with acoustic artists, a unique theme path was created for the young and old. What do you hear at the Echo Wall? Conscious listening and seeing are what make this hike so special. A covered barbecue area invites you to take a break. In the clay oven, there is the possibility to bake pizza (always on Sundays, more information is available at the mountain station). In summer, guided tours are also offered. Bicycle parking and free parking are also available.

Although the lake is located at 1,200 m above sea level, in summer it has a pleasant temperature that invites you to swim. Dogs are not allowed in the water. Two inns on the shore of the lake invite you to a cozy stop.
