Gradisch Castle is a Renaissance building built in the middle of the 16th century in the town of the same name in the south of the municipality of Feldkirchen in Carinthia.

<p>At the site of today's castle, there was possibly a medieval residence, which is also indicated by the current name because Gradisch means something like ' Burgstall ', i.e. a place where a castle once stood. If this was the case, this original building was probably named "Paradeis" after the local noble family. The Paradise were ministers of the Carinthian dukes and can be traced back to 1192, as in a document by Wernhardus de Paradysowas called as a witness. Your residence was first mentioned in a document in 1250, but it is not certain whether it was a castle on the site of today's Gradisch Castle or the Prägrad Castle. In the 14th century, the family's track was initially lost.
