Gschöllkopf

The Gschöllkopf (2,039 m) is a peak of the Rofan mountains that is easy to hike and offers a sensational view. For the first stage, you use the Rofan cable car. Starting from the mountain station, the hiking trail leads past the Erefurter Hütte to the Gschöllkopf. The rocky path is secured with holding ropes. At the summit, the "Adlerhorst" viewing platform awaits visitors. The smith artist Manfred Hörl created this work of art from metal rods in 2007. The view extends over the Karwendel Mountains, the Hohe Tauern and into the Zillertal Alps. The "AirRofan" sky glider also starts at Eagle's Nest, where up to 4 people can be lowered like an eagle (for a fee, from 12 years).
