Liechtensteinklamm

One of the deepest and longest gorges in the Alps is the Liechtensteinklamm in the province of Salzburg near St. Johann im Pongau. The Liechtensteinklamm is a notable landmark with a unique natural landscape. Mighty waterfalls rush into the depths, thickly overgrown with moss stones which line the path. The gorge exudes a mystical atmosphere. The wooden paths and bridges are well secured and lead through the impressive gorge for over 4 km. The spiral staircase "Helix", more than 30 meters high, is a unique attraction. It makes the enormous dimension of the LIchtensteinklamm tangible. A monitoring system that registers even the smallest rock movements provides additional safety for visitors.
